Fava Beans with Garlic Cilantro Oil is all about the bean! These big green beans are so good that we let them shine solo with some simple garlic oil and herbs!
In a large skillet over medium-high heat, add 4 tablespoons olive oil and garlic and saute 1-2 min.
Add fava beans and salt. Stirring occasionally, cook about 5 min if using skinless beans. If using frozen beans with skin, cook for about 20-30 or until tender. You may also add about 1/4 cup of water to help cook through if you find the beans are becoming tender on their own.
Add cilantro and saute for about 2 min, until it wilts and cooks down, but does not turn dark.
Top with one tablespoon and olive oil and serve.
If you can't find frozen beans, you can use dried beans as well. Just soak and prepare them for sauteing and follow the same instructions.
