It’s the second week of Ramadan and I don’t know about you, but we have made some delicious meals and enjoyed some quality time with family and friends! Here’s what Nadia and I have for this week!
The second week of Ramadan is somehow always a little better than the first. The fear of the impending eating and drinking restrictions can really freak me out…yes, I am a big baby. But, always by the second week, I’ve gotten a hang of it. My body and my spirit adjust and it actually becomes a really beautiful time. The reflection and spiritual connection you get during this time is unlike no other. With that being said, we still have to plan what to eat!
So, my mom is in town for the first 2 weeks, and I love nothing more than being around this woman. I know I’m biased because she’s my mom, but if you’ve ever met her or get to meet her I’m pretty sure you’d feel the same way;-) She lives in the kitchen and is always cooking up a storm.
