One Pot Moroccan Lemon Chicken is a dish that I created out of desperation! Not owning a tagine makes it difficult to cook most Moroccan dishes so I took matters into my own hands and this lovely creation came about!
One pot lemon Moroccan chicken is just packed with flavor! It’s getting more and more challenging to find time to dedicate to cook now that my little one is running around and my older one is not in school so I’m all about the one pot dishes! Throw everything in there and let is cook together.
If you don’t have one or two of the ingredients it’s not a big deal, you can still cook this dish and just omit those ingredients (unless it’s the chicken, you’re going to definitely need that unless you’re going vegetarian which actually works too! )
Try this One Pot Moroccan Lemon Chicken with this super simple and understated honey raisin couscous or this lovely Freekah and Kale salad or with just a simple side or white rice or simple arabic rice with vermicelli

I don’t see mentioning of the chickpeas in the ingredient list. Is it one can of drained chickpeas?
Hi Roula! So I added about 1/2 cup of drained chickpeas but it’s very optional. Some people like more, some less so its up to you!
