Lebne and Fresh Mint Dip is going to be your new favorite because it is so simple and is made with simple ingredients!
My mom whips this up in minutes and as a child, (and adult) it was one of my favorites. I don’t know if it’s just the naivety of a being a child or I just liked it when my mom spoiled me, but it never occurred to me to ask her how to make it. I never thought to make it for myself. I just patiently waited for her to put it together so I can devour it. Fast forward to when I became a semi adult and not sure what possessed me but there I was, one fine day, craving this lebne dip and I actually decided to ask my mom about this dip.
Embarrassed at its simplicity yet excited that I now have the power to make this anytime I wanted, I decided to give it a go. It’s. literally. foolproof. You. cannot. mess. this. up. and. you. will. love. it. Yes I say both with confidence because I am confident about both statements. Lebne has that je ne sais quoi. It’s creamy, it’s rich yet not overwhelming, its just so perfect on its own to be honest. But then when you add the walnuts, mint and cucumber it becomes so perfectly crunchy and fresh against the smooth lebne. However, its really the onion that takes this dip to another level. The onion is understated, you won’t even realize its there, but it brings this entire dip together like no other. You should mix the onions in for a good minute to let all the flavors release.
It’s clear that I love lebne and this is not the only dip I love. Have you seen this lebne dip that I make with roasted potatoes?
Try this dip with
- fresh pita bread (my fav!)
- pita chips
- tater tots
- protein bowl with kale, quinoa and chicken!
This super simple lebne dip will change the way you eat lebne! It has the crunch of the walnuts, the freshness of the mint and cucumber and a secret ingredient that brings it all together so perfectly!
